George Santos is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in the 118th U.S. Congress. He has steadily removed claims from his website that have been proven to be false, such as holding a bachelor's degree from Baruch College. In the Washington Post article, the journalists used the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine to find and view previous versions of his webpage that included the false claims. A SHARI story covering the biggest news story of October 25, 2010 , involving revelations about Facebook. Follow @StormyArchives on Twitter for daily updates on yesterday's biggest news story. SHARI is back. Each day, the Dark and Stormy Archives Project will apply the SHARI process to gather the news articles for the previous day's top stories and present them as a social media story, as seen above. Each card in the story links to a memento of a news article in a web archive. Each story will be shared via the @StormyArchives social media account. Web archive collections consist of thousands of documents, and humans need tools to intelligently select mementos for a given purpose. Hypercane's goal is to supply us with a list of memento URI-Ms derived from the input we provide. In Part 2 , I highlighted how Hypercane's synthesize action converts its input into other formats like JSON for Raintale stories, WARCs for Archives Unleashed Toolkit , or boilerplate-free files for Gensim . This post focuses on the primitive advanced actions that make up Hypercane's sampling algorithms. We can mix and match different primitives to arrive at the sample that best meets our needs. If a human wishes to create a sample of documents from a web archive collection, they are confronted with thousands of documents from which to choose. Most collections contain insufficient metadata for making decisions. Hypercane's focus is to supply us with a list of memento URI-Ms derived from the input we provide.
