2025-11-12: 36th ACM Conference on Hypertext and Social Media (HT 2025) Trip Report

  The 36th ACM Conference on Hypertext and Social Media (HT 2025) was held from September 15–18 as a hybrid conference. The in-person event took place in Chicago, USA and virtual attendees joined via Zoom. The event was hosted by the Illinois Institute of Technology . The conference provides a research platform that focuses on hypertext technologies, applications, link structures, digital humanities, and social media. This year the theme was “The World as Hypertext” which targeted to understand technology, creativity, society, and scholarship through the lens of hypertext.  The conference featured workshops, tutorials, and blue sky ideas along with paper presentations and keynote sessions. The trip report reflects experiences from Dominik Soós , Rochana R. Obadage , and Tarannum Zaki of the Web Science & Digital Libraries (WS-DL) research group at Old Dominion University (ODU) , with Dominik Soós and Tarannum Zaki attending and presenting at the conference in person. ...
