Seven courses from the Web Science and Digital Libraries (WS-DL) Group will be offered for Spring 2023. The classes will be a mixture of on-line, f2f, and hybrid.

Topics: loss function and shallow neural models, fully connected neural network (NN), convolutional NN (CNN), recurrent NN (RNN), training, optimization, and backpropagation, regularization and generalization, attention mechanism and transformers.
In addition to the WS-DL courses listed above, Dr. Wu will also be
teaching CS 450/550 and Dr. Poursardar
will be teaching CS 115 and CS 150. Dr. Michael L. Nelson will not be teaching this semester and will instead of focus on standing up the new Institute of Data Science.
